I’m Rudy Paras, an illustrator with a big heart for storytelling. I create whimsical, character-driven illustrations that invite readers of all ages into vibrant, imaginative worlds.

Born in Mexico, raised in Texas, and now living on the wild northwest coast of Canada, my work is shaped by landscapes, culture, and the stories we carry. I bring a playful, heartfelt perspective to every project—whether it's a picture book, editorial piece, or visual narrative.

 

My background in architecture and urban planning has taught me how to shape environments, but illustration is where I build worlds full of frogs in raincoats, curious critters, and quiet magic. I believe every character—human or animal—has a story to tell.

 

When I’m not drawing, you can find me hiking, kayaking, or making pancakes on rainy mornings. Let’s make something beautiful together.
